the flagship brand of Ceylon Biscuits Ltd. (CBL) clinched the prestigious
‘Brand of the Year’ title at the SLIM Brand Excellence Awards 2021 held
recently at the Monarch Imperial. The prestigious SLIM Brand Excellence Awards
recognises the best brands in Sri Lanka and is a highly competitive process.
This year, the awards process recorded the highest number of entries and brand
participation in the history of the award.
This is the ninth time that Munchee has won the coveted Brand of the Year title and it is the only brand to have won the title for five consecutive years in the 20-year history of SLIM Brand Excellence.
Brand of the Year was among six awards claimed by Munchee in an impressive sweep which included Local Brand of the Year – Gold, Product Brand of the Year – Gold, Export Brand of the Year – Silver, Product Brand of the Year – Silver and Local Brand of the Year – Bronze for Munchee Super Cream Cracker.

During the selection process Munchee competed with over 100 brands that were evaluated under 14 categories to recognise outstanding, high-performing brands. Each entry was subjected to a stringent evaluation process, where all aspects of the brand were thoroughly appraised under guidelines set by SLIM authorities.
